7 Reasons I believe christ will return in my lifetime
1. The Vision
I do not claim to be a modern-day Daniel or a dreamer like Joseph. I do believe in supernatural encounters with God. I believe that God does still speak through dreams and Visions. I must say that I am not one of those Christians who was just saved last month and then got excited about end times after I read the Left-Behind Novels. God begin speaking to me about end times even before I knew what end-times was. I was saved when I was six years-old watching Christian television. I began reading the Bible and had read through most of the New Testament by the time I was seven. I also became fascinated with the rapture. I begin telling all of my family and friends that I believe that I would live to see the return of Christ. I have had this strong inner knowing since I was seven. Since I have been an adult I have had two visions. Both had to do with the sky. The first vision I had was when I was selling cars at Jay Marks Toyota in Houston, TX I was standing on the front stairs of the dealership and I saw the face of Jesus in the clouds at the same time I heard a voice that almost seemed audible it said, “Tell My People I’m Coming Back!” Immediately, the face vanished. The second vision was when my wife and I were driving back from North Carolina to Texas. Somewhere in South Carolina I looked at the moon and it became blood red, and then it was darkened darker and darker until it disappeared, during this moment, the radio went silent and I heard a voice say “Tell My people I’m Coming Back!” This was a more frightening encounter than the first and I was so still that although I wanted to I couldn’t move my hand off of the steering wheel to wake my sleeping wife. I believe that I have been commissioned by God to tell my generation that Jesus will return and we who love him will be raptured to meet Him.
I often wondered why he didn’t say “tell the sinners that I am coming back”
His return is for the Church and He warns the church over and over to be ready:
2Tim. 4:8 And now the prize awaits me—the crown of righteousness that the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on that great day of his return. And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his glorious return.
1John 3:2-3 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
Heb. 9:28 so also Christ died only once as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again but not to deal with our sins again. This time he will bring salvation to all those who are eagerly waiting for him.
